23rd June – Sunday	Lapta Tourism Festival will be holding a Rafts Against Rubbish Race starting at 10am at K.A.S.K. Plaj, Karsiyaka. There will also be a Tug of War and Children’s sandcastle competition. 50TL entry for teams of 4 for the Raft Race. 24th June – Monday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their monthly quiz at The Ravine in Alsancak so why not test your brain and have a few laughs. 15TL will give you supper of Fish & Chips or Shish and a good night’s entertainment.To book your team contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483
25th June to 11th July – Every Tuesday and Thursday evening	9pm in the garden of the Goethe Institute (next to Ledra Palace in the UN buffer zone) there will be 6 different German films (with English sub-titles). The films are from the 1930’s to present times. Admission is free and there are cold drinks and snacks available.For more information contact the Goethe Institute on 22674606
28th June – Friday	Al Shaheen in Karakum will be having an entertainment night when the Gipsy Brothers will be performing. Why not treat yourself to a nice meal and be entertained at the same time.To book a table contact Imtiaz on 0392 815 7390 or 0533 842 2784
28th & 29th June – Friday and Saturday	KADS will be presenting an evening of comedy sketches etc. entitled Absolute Kads and Bounders at the Girne Municipality Culture Centre Theatre. The performances start at 7.30pm and tickets which are 15TL can be obtained at the Wednesday Market or Chateau Lambousa Saturday Market.The Saturday performance is virtually sold out but there are still seats available for Friday 28th.
30th June – Sunday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch are holding an Armed Forces Day Celebration event at The Courtyard in Karakum from 1pm to 6pm. There will be stalls, games and entertainment.English and Indian meals and snacks will be available throughout the day. Entrance is by ticket @ 5TL which can be obtained from the RBL stall at the Lambousa Saturday market.
5th and 6th July – Friday and Saturday – (Note: This was previously to have been held on 15th and 16th June)	Lapta Tourism Festival will be holding a Darts Tournament at the Manolya Hotel, Lapta starting at 7pm. 6th July – Saturday	The Children in Need Foundation have arranged a brilliant 2-hour concert to be held at the Girne Amphitheatre featuring Legend, Bob Marley & The Wailers Tribute Band. This is a definite must for those who will be in the TRNC in July. For more information click here. Tickets are 50TL and are now on sale at Cafe George in Girne, Property Centre Lapta, and DVD shop in Catalkoy.
10th July – Wednesday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their monthly Afternoon Tea Talk at 3pm at the Mountain View Hotel. The speaker will be Dorothy Betts who will be talking about Shadows of the Empire, her book about the Old British Cemetery in Kyrenia and some of the people buried there.To book for this event contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483
15th July – Monday	NCCCT Bingo Night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm. There is still a rollover jackpot of 1,200TL. A book of 6 cards @ 35TL. Free raffle and the famous Mars bars for the winners. Pre-order a nice supper of Fish & Chips for 15TL when you arrive to be served at half-time. A good evening’s entertainment.

26th to 29th September –Thursday to Sunday	The Silk Route Festival of North Cyprus is being arranged and it is to be held in the Bafra area. The exact location and details will be announced as soon as they are available.
26th October – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital.3 months must elapse between donations.
2nd November – Saturday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball.More details later.
9th November – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at The Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak.3 months must elapse between donations.
