Business as usual at Lambousa Market

How many of our readers remember the events of a few weeks ago when the Girne American University (GAU) announced they had agreed a contract with The Celebrity Group of Hotels for a long term lease and redevelopment of Chateau Lambousa for their GAU Tourism and Accommodation Management and Gastronomy Culinary Arts Department.

Within a few days of this agreement being made we experienced a fierce storm in North Cyprus which in turn made some damage on the Chateau Lambousa complex but work soon started in a cleanup operation so that the Saturday markets could continue unhindered.

Future plans for the redevelopment of the Chateau Lambousa market have continued and we have attached a news update received from Director, Gordon Kent  and we hope to bring you some more news shortly.
