8th June – Saturday	The Foreign Nationals (Barry Snakes protégés) will be performing at Jasmine Court from 8.30pm to 11.30pm. Entry will be by ticket at 15TL per person and there will also be food available for those who want to eat. The event will be in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). This should be a brilliant evening.Tickets can be obtained from Bestseller Bookshops in Alsancak and Karakum.
8th June – Saturday	Lapta Tourism Festival – It’s a Knockout. Starting at 11am there will be fun and games during the day mostly involving a lot of water. Entry is 30TL for teams of 6 and the event is in aid of the Kemal Saracoglu Foundation (Bone Marrow Foundation). 8th June – Saturday	6th Lapta Tourism Festival – Cooking Competition. To participate in the contest contact Berke Ertopaloğlu on 0533 834 9878.Closing date to register is Friday 7th June.
11th June – Tuesday	The NCCCT Coffee Morning will be at The Lodge in Ҫatalköy. Make a note to go along to this very popular event.

12th June – Wednesday	Kibris Night at the Hill Top Restaurant, Lapta/Baspinar which starts at 8pm. There will be a menu of 20 cold mezze and 5 hot mezze and a Mixed Kebab for 40TL per person. 12th June – Wednesday	Please note there is a change of speaker for this event and the talk by Dorothy Betts will now be on 10th July. Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their Afternoon Tea Talk at the Mountain View Hotel at 3pm when the speaker will be Edward Barrett talking about “Mayors he has known”. 12th June – Wednesday	There will be a book launch and talk at the Goethe Institute in Lefkoșa (in the UN Buffer Zone) starting at 7pm when Mrs Elsie Slonim will giving a talk about “Remembering History – My always changing and adventurous life between the USA, Austria, Palestine/ Israel and Cyprus from 1917 until today”. Admission is free and there will be a small reception following the talk.

15th and 16th June Saturday and Sunday	Lapta Tourism Festival will be holding a Darts Tournament at the Manolya Hotel, Lapta starting at 7pm. 17th June – Monday	NCCCT Bingo Night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm. There will be a rollover jackpot of 1,200TL if this is not won at the May event. A book of 6 cards @ 35TL. Free raffle and the famous Mars bars for the winners.Pre-order a nice supper of Fish & Chips for 15TL when you arrive to be served at half-time. A good evening’s entertainment
17th June – Monday	There will be a quiz night at The Meadows Restaurant in Girne in aid of Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) and Doğanköy Church. 21st June – Friday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services have arranged an 60’s Night at The Mountain View Hotel starting at 7.30pm. There will be a “Blues Brothers” act which will be coming up from the South and there will also be Steam Machine with Werner. 23rd June – Sunday	Lapta Tourism Festival will be holding a Rafts Against Rubbish Race starting at 10am at K.A.S.K. Plaj, Karsiyaka. 30th June – Sunday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch are holding an Armed Forces Day Celebration event at The Courtyard in Karakum from 1pm to 6pm. There will be stalls, games and entertainment. English and Indian meals and snacks will be available throughout the day. Entrance is by ticket @ 5TL which can be obtained from the RBL stall at the Lambousa Saturday market.
6th July – Saturday	The Children in Need Foundation have arranged a brilliant 2-hour concert to be held at the Girne Amphitheatre featuring Legend, Bob Marley & The Wailers Tribute Band. This is a definite must for those who will be in the TRNC in July. Tickets are 50TL and are now on sale at Cafe George in Girne, Property Centre Lapta, and DVD shop in Catalkoy.
10th July – Wednesday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their monthly Afternoon Tea Talk at 3pm at the Mountain View Hotel. The speaker will be Dorothy Betts who will be talking about Shadows of the Empire, her book about the Old British Cemetery in Kyrenia and some of the people buried there. 21st September – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at Lambousa Market, Lapta. 3 months must elapse between donations.
26th October – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital. 3 months must elapse between donations.
2nd November – Saturday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball. More details later.
9th November – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at The Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak. 3 months must elapse between donations.
