PRESIDENT EROGLU RECEIVED DELEGATION OF ASSOCIATION FOR PROMOTION AND PERPETUATION OF TRNC

It was reported that TRNC President Dr. Derviş Eroğlu received the delegation of the Association for the Promotion and Perpetuation of the TRNC under the presidency of Bekir Volkan yesterday.

In his speech President Eroğlu said: “Thank God we have come to these days. Today we are continuing our activities with our people in harmony under a State roof and the Presidency Office” and added that these are the biggest riches for him.

President Eroğlu continued: “In these days when we are in search of an agreement, conscious that our State makes us stronger, it is important to show the world that we are not alone and stateless at the negotiation table”.

‘ SALE OF BANK BRANCHES OR GO BANKRUPT’

It was reported that the sale of Greek Cypriot bank branches in Greece to Greek Pire Bank was laid as a pre-condition to approve the aid package of South Cyprus. According to the headline of Greek Cypriot daily Fileleftheros ‘Sale of Bank Branches or Bankrupt…Deputies obtained information from Dimitriadis’, the Head of Central Bank of Cyprus, Panikos Dimitriadis, stated that the sale of Greek Cypriot bank branches in Greece to Greek Pire Bank was laid as a pre-condition by South Cyprus’s international creditors to approve the aid package of South Cyprus.
