NCCCT Lunch and Fashion Show

By Margaret Sheard

The North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust held a special event on Tuesday 21st May when they organised a Lunch and Mini Fashion NCCCT Lunch at Le JardinShow at Le Jardin Restaurant in Ҫatalköy.

It was a beautiful sunny day and the event was held in the outside area of Le Jardin where some 75 people were present to enjoy the afternoon. There were many familiar faces present and everyone was catching up with news from friends and acquaintances.

We ordered our lunch and the fashion Is that Susie Forster I see?show started with amateur models who could well have been professionals and they did some quick changes to give the audience a really good show of some of the items which are on sale at the NCCCT charity shops – Heartbeat and The Hut. There were items, including those which were modelled, on sale inside the restaurant area so it was hoped that at the end of the day some of these items would be sold.

We had a very nice lunch and dessert and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals outside in the lovely garden area where there was a Carole Lloyd doing her 'usual' with raffle ticketsthoughtfully placed canopy and umbrellas to give us some shade.

There had been raffle tickets sold and after the fashion show and lunch the raffle was drawn, I had a lucky ticket, so ended up with a nice raffle prize.

Angela Hasman informed me later of the results of the event which raised a total of 1,368TL, so another good result for NCCCT.

Don’t forget the next NCCCT coffee morning which is at The Lodge in Ҫatalköy on Tuesday 11th June.
