YOUTH AND SPORTS DAY RECEPTION HOSTED BY PRESIDENT EROĞLU AND HIS WIFE
President Derviş Eroğlu and his wife Meral Eroğlu organized the 3rd Youth Reception at the Presidential Palace yesterday as part of the events marking the 19th of May, the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. The reception was hosted to the honour of the foreign youth delegations who were guests in the TRNC for the 19th of May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day organizations.
Addressing the youth at the reception, President Eroğlu said that it was very important for 
the youth to know about their history and said: “You are the most dynamic circle of the society with your energy and experiences. Today and tomorrow are all yours”.
President Eroğlu also underlined the importance of the social dinner event that he is going to attend with the Greek Cypriot Administration Leader, Nikos Anastasiadis, on the 29th of May in order to create an opportunity for establishing a road map for a just solution and peace in the island.
The President also stated that the Cyprus Turkish side is maintaining peaceful efforts in a constructive way and renewed his call for the launch of negotiations with the Greek Cypriot Leader, Nikos Anastasiadis, as soon as possible. He also said that their main aim was to reach a conclusion in the Cyprus issue together with the motherland Turkey as soon as possible.
INFORMATION ABOUT TRNC AND HER FLAG ON EU’S INTERNET SITE
It was reported that information about the TRNC and her flag on an EU internet site made the Greek Cypriots feel uncomfortable and this led to comments that in this way, the TRNC was recognized by the EU
Under the headline: ‘Contact Information and The Flag are being seen’ the Greek Cypriot newspaper ‘Fileleftheros’ wrote that the thesis of the EU t
hat repeated over and over again is ‘ The only state recognized by the EU is the Republic of Cyprus’ however, the activities of the services acting under the EU umbrella assert to the contrary.
Publishing that on the internet site (www.sos112.info) all emergency numbers about Europe and related information are mentioned ‘Fileleftheros’ wrote that two flags, one for the ‘Republic of Cyprus’ and the other one for the TRNC also appear. It was also pointed out that TRNC emergency case (ambulance, fire station, and police) contact information and dialing codes appear on the mentioned internet site beside the related information about South Cyprus.
