The Anglo Turkish Association (ATA) will be holding a craft exhibition at Club Z, Girne.  The opening will be at 6.30pm on 24th April and the exhibition 10am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturday.

This is open for members and non-members to exhibit their own crafts free of charge.

The George Roper Fun Day.  This will be an afternoon and evening event at King’s Bar, Turtle Beach, Esentepe and will include a grand auction, 4 live bands, line dancing, raffle and a buffet at 10TL per person.

Hiking Tour with guide.  Meeting points – Lapta Municipality at 8am and Sadrazamkoy at 8.30am.  The route will be around the Sadrazamkoy area.

KAR Dog Show at Bariş Park – “Paws in the Park” from 10am.  There are 12 different classes to be judged.

Football Tournament – Group Stages and Elimination.  The venue is Lapta Football Pitch, registration fee 150TL per team.  There will be prizes of 1000TL, 500TL and 250TL.  Closing date for registration is 26th April.

“A Night at the Dogs” Fun night with greyhound racing competition at The Meadows Restaurant (near Bellapais traffic lights – rear of Pia Bella Hotel). The Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be holding a May Day Fair from 12 noon.  There will be fun, food, drinks, stalls and music.  KAR will be joining the event to raise some funds for their charity.

3rd May – FridayOlive Press Flat Green BowlingRBL

The Olive Press will be holding a Spot the Intro night hosted by Max Pickup (Bayrak radio) starting at 8pm.  Teams of 2 people at 10TL per team and there will be fines of 1TL per team for those who are too clever or a bit clueless!  The event is in aid of the Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch.

3rd May – Friday

A new restaurant is opening in Chelsey Village, this is the Chelsey Village Restaurant and on 3rd May they will be having a special evening to celebrate with local singer Chrissy there to entertain.  Why not go along and try it out.

The NCCCT Coffee Morning will be at The Dome Hotel, Girne.

There will be a flat green bowls knockout competition at The Olive Press in Lapta.  Entry is free and it will be  10TL per person for those taking part.  Registration to be made by 10th May.

NCCCT Bingo Night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm.  There is a rollover jackpot of 1,200TL.  A book of 6 cards @ 35TL. Free raffle and the famous Mars bars for the winners.  Pre-order a nice supper of Fish & Chips for 15TL when you arrive to be served at half-time.  A good evening’s entertainment.

21st May – TuesdayNCCCT logo

NCCCT are hosting a lunch and mini fashion show at Le Jardin in Ҫatalkoy, 12.30 for 1pm.  Tickets are 30TL per person and can be obtained from the Heartbeat Shop or The Hut in Girne.  There is a choice of menu – Chicken & Mushroom in a brandy cream sauce, Steak Pie or a vegetarian option, the choice of dessert is Meringue Nest or Apple Crumble.  There will be clothes for sale as well.

24th May – FridayFriends of the TRNC Emergency Services

Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be putting on a Tamla Motown night with DJ Mike and DJ Max at the Mountain View Hotel, Karaoğlanoğlu starting at 7.30pm.  There will also be one of the Mountain View’s excellent buffets to enjoy.  The event will be ticket only which are 25TL per person and can be obtained from Pam Schofield at The Bamboo Market on Saturday mornings, the Olive Press in Lapta or contact Mike on 0533 8305374.

The Foreign Nationals (Barry Snakes protégés) will be performing at Jasmine Court from 8.30pm to 11.30pm.  Entry will be 15TL per person and there will also be food available for those who want to eat.  The event will be in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).  This should be a brilliant evening.

11th June – TuesdayNCCCT logo

The NCCCT Coffee Morning will be at The Lodge in Ҫatalköy.  Make a note to go along to this very popular event.

12th June – Wednesday1Music Note 

Kibris Night at the Hill Top Restaurant, Lapta/Baspinar which starts at 8pm.  There will be a menu of 20 cold mezze and 5 hot mezze and a Mixed Kebab for 40TL per person.  As well as all of this good food there is entertainment with live music, folk dancing, children’s violin performance and tap dancing.

6th July – SaturdayChildren in need foundation

The Children in Need Foundation have arranged a brilliant 2-hour concert to be held at the Girne Amphitheatre featuring Legend, Bob Marley & The Wailers Tribute Band.   This is a definite must for those who will be in the TRNC in July.  For more information click here and look out for more details in future Events Calendars.
