Friends Easter Social Evening

The “Friends” Line Dancers have quite an active social life and Janet Bartholomew has sent me news of their latest social evening which was to celebrate Easter and it looks as if they had a really good time. This is Janet’s 
account of their evening.
Friends“ Line dancers held their Easter Social Evening at The Punjab Restaurant where they hold their twice a week dancing classes.
The evening commenced around seven thirty with a little dancing while waiting for the food to be served. Fish was chosen by some, keeping to the traditional eating habit, while oth
ers could not resist The Punjab Curry.
Tony Pegg once again came up with an excellent Table Top Quiz. Ged Jackson and team won hands down with a full marks score, you will have to make it harder next time Tony, says someone whose team only scored 9 out of 20!
A raffle was also h
eld, some lucky winners taking Easter Eggs as prizes. All of the evening’s donations will be going to The Kozan Donkeys.
As mentioned in previous write-ups “Friends” have a Donkey Box into which any loose unwanted change can be put at the dancing sessions, a final amount will be handed to Sarah and her mum at the Summer Social to help out with the donkeys winter food bill.
Another enjoyable evening was had by all, Riaz and his staff were perfect hosts as usual, you are always sure of a warm and welcoming reception at The Punjab.
Janet has also supplied a fun video which was made some time ago at a 40’s night which has been cut and re-made for Easter. The “Friends” still laugh at it and Janet thought perhaps our readers would like to see it too.
