6th Lapta Tourism Festival
3rd Lapta Cycle Tour
The 3rd Lapta Cycle Tour took place on Sunday 10th March. The participators met 
at the Akcan Cycle Shop in Alsancak to start their tour and the route was Alsancak – Lapta – Karșiyaka. It was a dull day on Sunday but this was probably better for the cyclists and, apart from a couple of minutes of drizzly rain which then went away, the weather was kind.
After the cycle tour there was a meal at Sirinyali Restaurant of smoked fish or traditional lamb kleftiko, rice, salad, chips and a soft drink. I am sure this was well deserved after all of that energy being used by the cyclists and a chance to chat about how they had done and making plan
s for the next cycle tour.
There were 282 people attending this event so it seems the cycle tours are getting more and more popular.
