6th Lapta Tourism Festival
KAR Fun Dog Show
The 2013 Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) Dog Show this year will be part of the 6th Lapta Tourism Festival and is to be held on Sunday 14th April at Sunset Beach Club in Lapta. The show will start at 2pm until 5pm.
The categories will be as follows :
1. The most handsome dog
2. The prettiest bitch
3. Golden Oldie (a dog over 7 years)
4. The dog in the best condition
5. The friendliest dog
6. The best child handler
7. The dog with the waggiest tail
8. The dog the Judge would most like to take home
This should be great fun with all of the dogs and their owners hoping they will be chosen in one of the categories and I always marvel at how most of the dogs seem to really enjoy their few hours of socialising.
There are of course some rules to be recognised for this type of show and these are:
1. No dogs under 6 months old
2. All dogs must be in good health
3. All dogs must be on a lead
The entry fee for each class is 5TL. Stalls will be available at 30TL each.
Organisation and Sponsorship is by Lapta Municipality and Kyrenia Animal Rescue
All monies from the event will be donated to Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR)

There will be many stalls selling a variety of goods such as clothes, shoes, bric-a-brac, books, pet food and accessories and many more for people to browse around in between watching the judging going on and enjoying the show.
So there we have it, the 2013 Dog Show is in the process of being organised and I am sure it will attract many people as it always does. Make a note in your diary for 14th April – Sunset Beach Club and go along and have a good time with all of the other animal lovers in North Cyprus to support KAR in their endless task of looking after the many unwanted dog and cats we have on the island.
