Orchid Walk 2013 – Cycle Challenge
With the Orchid Walk 2013 drawing closer and many supporting activities being held or announced, it was good to receive the following news of a cycle challenge that is to be held at the same time as the Orchid Walk and over a different course.
The plan is to set off from Karşiyaka in the morning and to follow a track of average difficulty to finish again at Karşiyaka, where the walk will also end.
We call everyone from professional cyclists to amateurs who have watched their bikes go rusty over the years, who are confident they can ride 60 km to join us in this event to raise awareness and raise money to fight against cancer!
If you are interested, please register on Facebook or via email below. The tickets are 30 Turkish Lira (same as the tickets for the walk). If you do not have a bike but would still like to join, please contact us through this page as soon as possible and we will refer you to a place where you can rent one.
Please forward this article to anyone you think might be interested and you can contact us for further information at rezanfahrioglu@yahoo.com
We look forward to seeing you among us at the finish of Orchid Walk 2013!”
So there we have it, a challenge being made and last year saw horse riders joining the Orchid Walk and this year you cyclists can also participate as well and help make this the biggest event held so far in the “One Heart, One Goal – Walking Against Cancer” campaign.
