This year’s Golden Heart Raffle was launched on the 1st October 2012 and will be drawn in the second week of January 2013. The top prize is worth over 1,000TL and the second prize over 900TL. Tickets are 5TL each and can be purchased from the following outlets:-

Anglo Turkish Association membership fees will remain at 25TL and are due from 1st January 2013.  Renewals can be made at St Andrew’s Church Hall on Wednesdays between 10am and 12 noon or at the new Bamboo Beach market (near the Merit Hotel) on Sundays and Wednesdays between 9am and 12 noon.   As markets are dependent upon the weather, for details contact Yasmin Underwood on 0533 848 5769.

NCCCT

The NCCCT will be holding their first coffee morning of 2013 at The Savoy Hotel, Girne.  As usual there will be stalls with items for sale so why not go along to this lovely venue to start the year off for NCCCT. 

The grand draw for the Golden Heart Raffle in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) will be held between 10am and 12 noon so be there for the announcement of the lucky winning tickets, there are some fabulous prizes and there is still time to purchase tickets from the outlets shown at the beginning of this calendar.  Carole & Sue will be there selling tea, coffee and cakes to raise even more for their very worthwhile cause.

Vicki will be holding a 50th birthday party for her husband Unal from 7pm at The Black Olive Cafe in Alsancak.  Everyone is welcome.

Keith Lloyd will be giving one of his very interesting and entertaining talks about “A History of Winemaking” at St Andrew’s Church Hall starting at 7pm.   Supper will be available and tickets are 20TL per person.  To book a place contact Wyn Smith on 0533 847 4104

The Olive Press will be holding a Tulips Charity Night for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). 7.30 for 8pm.   This will be a night of fun, laughter and brain teasing with a ‘Spot the intro ..’ quiz which will be divided into 5 categories.  The event is open to non-members as well as members.  There will also be a mini auction on the night.

NCCCT

NCCCT

The NCCCT coffee morning will be held at The Rocks Hotel in Girne.  Another lovely venue for this event and a treat not to be missed.

This will be the 3rd Esentepe Fun Run and will be in memory of George Roper who died in 2012 and was the instigator of the original event to raise funds for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). Look out for more information in the New Year on this website.

From 7pm to 9pm at Riviera Bungalows, Karaoglanoglu, CESV (Civil Emergency Service Volunteers)  will be holding First Aid Training classes open to adults (14+).  Refreshments will be available at 5TL  If you want to learn some life-saving skills or brush up on previous skills then go along and join in a friendly informal group.
