News from the Anglo Turkish Association of donations made to the following :-

a)    Lapta Cemetery Committee to provide a covered area for mourners.

b)    The Green Hill British Cemetery – electrical equipment for the water well.

c)  Lapta Medical Centre – weight and height measurement device for recording children’s growth development.

d)   Tepebaşi school –  provision of one CD player and two sets of reference books for the English language class.

News from Carole & Sue (Tulips) about a fundraising initiative called “Click for Cancer”.  lgcnews.com (internet news agency in Northern Cyprus) have a forum called Lemon Grove Cyprus. They have very kindly put a link on their forum called “Click for Cancer”.  All visitors to the site have to do is click on this and when the Forum reaches 600 clicks they will give 600TL to Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).

 Many thanks from Carole & Sue (Tulips) to Linda and Billy Stirling who have been helping Tulips and over 2 weekends they raised 182tl & 435tl at Chateau Lambousa market and 235tl & 370tl at Soyz Bar market plus a total of 250tl worth of tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle.  Well done Linda and Billy for raising a total of 1,472tl over the 2 weekends.

 

Carole & Sue have also been busy selling raffle tickets and have added a further 365tl worth of sales making a current total of 9,000tl.   Tickets are still available up until 8th January so they urge everyone to buy some with a chance of winning some super prizes.
