News from Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips)

We have received news from Carole King and Sue Tilt about their on-going activities to raise funds for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) and they have told us that they are now receiving invaluable help from Linda and Billy Stirling who moved to North Cyprus earlier this year.

Linda and Billy are doing a regular stall slot at Chateau Lambousa  on Saturdays and also, whenever they can, they cover a stall at Soyz Market on Sundays.   Over the last 2 weekends they have raised a total of 1,472TL for Tulips with stalls at Chateau Lambousa, Soyz Market and with their sales of raffle tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle.

Carole and Sue would like to give a big thank you to Linda and Billy for their hard work and enthusiasm and to enable them to carry on with this tremendous effort they will be needing items to sell, so if you have any unwanted clothes, books, bric-a-brac etc. which you would like to give, please telephone 0533 873 1693 and arrangements will be made for the collection of any items you can donate to raise funds for this very worthy cause.

Carole and Sue have also been busy, as ever, selling raffle tickets and over the last 2 weekends they have sold a further 365TL worth of tickets, making a total so far of 9,000TL worth of tickets sold.  There are other people selling tickets as well to be added to the total but Carole and Sue would love to exceed last year’s total and are pushing hard to achieve this.  So you have until 8th January 2013 to buy, buy, buy and you could be the lucky winners of some superb prizes, but most important the final total will be a tremendous boost for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) who need all the help they can get to continue with the wonderful work they do for cancer sufferers.  

The grand draw will be held at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Girne on 11th January 2013 between 10am and 12 noon where there will be cakes, tea and coffee on sale to raise even further funds for Tulips.

Both Carole and Sue have worked tirelessly for Tulips and need all the help they can get with donations of items to sell to raise funds, sale of raffle tickets etc. and are always appreciative of the support they receive in their on-going crusade to raise enough funds to ensure that there is help available for all people who are unfortunate enough to become a victim of cancer.
