2013  –  Golden Heart Raffle in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips)KANSERLOGOTURKISH sml This year’s Golden Heart Raffle was launched on the 1st October 2012 and will be drawn in the second week of January 2013. The top prize is worth over 1,000TL and the second prize over 900TL. Tickets are 5TL each and can be purchased from the following outlets:-  Best Sellers Book Store – Karakum and Alsancak ;

Every 1st and 3rd Monday in the monthCESV From 7pm to 9pm at Riviera Bungalows, Karaoglanoglu, CESV (Civil Emergency Service Volunteers)  will be holding First Aid Training classes open to adults (14+).  Refreshments will be available at 5TL  If you want to learn some life-saving skills or brush up on previous skills then go along and join in a friendly informal group.  For further information call Steve Collard on 0548 845 5927

15th December – SaturdayBooks for everyone Best Seller Bookshop, Karakum, between 1pm and 4pm, will be holding a book-signing by Heidi Trautmann of her new book “’Art and Creativity in North Cyprus – Volume I”.

16th December – SundayMotorbike The Bikers Club will be doing their last tour for 2012 from 10.30am to 4pm.  The Route will be Gonyeli Circle to Lemar Guzelyurt to Lefke where there will be lunch at Mardin Restaurant  for 30TL. 
16th December – Sunday Doğankoy Church will be holding a pre-Christmas coffee morning from 11am to 2pm.  This is a lovely venue so why not go along and meet the locals and enjoy this wonderful piece of heritage.

Due to the closeness of Christmas and the many other events taking place the NCCCT Bingo Night at the Ravine has now been CANCELLED.Check the Events Calendar for the next Bingo Night which will now be held in the New Year.
19th December – WednesdayRBL The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, are organising a Christmas sing-along at The Courtyard Inn, Karakum starting at 8pm.  There will be a grand draw for 2 lovely hampers plus other prizes.  Why not go along and get into the Christmas spirit with some carol singing and enjoy the evening.
19th December – WednesdayRBL JK’s Lapta – Christmas Carol singing starting at 7pm.  There will be music by Big T, mince pies & mulled wine.  Fancy dress for the kids. 21st December – FridayBlack Olive logo Christmas Fun Quiz at The Black Olive Café in Incesu starting at 7pm.  Dinner and dessert will be 20TL.  Teams must be pre-booked.  Call Vicki on 0533 8355133
22nd December – SaturdayChildren in need foundation The Corner House in Ozanköy will be holding a Christmas Fair from 1.30pm.  There will be carols and stalls with lots of Christmas items as well as cakes and other goodies.  In aid of the Children in Need Foundation.  For further information telephone 0542 852 5258 or for further details click here
23rd December – SundayDartboard The Lapta Municipality will be holding a Darts Tournament at Olive Paradise Village, Sht. Ibrahim Nidai Caddesi, Lapta, commencing 2pm.  The entrance fee is 10YL and bookings should be made with Berke Ertopaloğlu on 0533 834 9878.There will be prizes of 1st – 500TL, 2nd 300TL, 3rd – 200TL and each of the 3 winners will also have 1 night’s stay for 2 people with breakfast  at the Olive Paradise Village.
31st December – MondayOlive Press Flat Green Bowling The Olive Press will be having a New Year’s Eve Night Party.  Retro fun and games is the theme for the evening – Mr & Mrs, Play Your Cards Right, Beetle Drive and Shove Halfpenny.  Entry is free and couples will be needed for Mr & Mrs and teams of 2 for Play Your Cards Right.   This sounds like a real fun night.  For more information call Martin Appleton on 0533 8801196
12th January – SaturdayBlack Olive logo Vicki will be holding a 50th birthday party for her husband Unal from 7pm at The Black Olive Cafe in Alsancak.  Everyone is welcome.
20th April 2013 – SaturdayKANSERLOGOTURKISH sml This will be the 3rd Esentepe Fun Run and will be in memory of George Roper who died in 2012 and was the instigator of the original event to raise funds for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). Look out for more information in the New Year on this website.
