2013 – Golden Heart Raffle in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips)	This year’s Golden Heart Raffle was launched on the 1st October 2012 and will be drawn in the second week of January 2013. The top prize is worth over 1,000TL and the second prize over 900TL. Every 1^st and 3^rd Monday in the month	From 7pm to 9pm at Riviera Bungalows, Karaoglanoglu, CESV (Civil Emergency Service Volunteers) will be holding First Aid Training classes open to adults (14+). Refreshments will be available at 5TL If you want to learn some life-saving skills or brush up on previous skills then go along and join in a friendly informal group. 6^th/7^th/8^thDecember Thursday/ Friday/Saturday/	The Kyrenia Amateur Dramatic Society (KADS) will be performing 2 plays “Costa del Packet” and “World Premiere” at the Kyrenia Municipality Cultural Centre (near the Police Station and Wednesday Market site). The performance will commence at 8pm and all profits will be donated to Kyrenia Animal Rescue and the SOS Children’s Village. Click KADS. 7^th December – Friday	There will be a concert at Karaman Church at 8pm with international flautist Sefika Kutluer. Admission by donation. Complimentary wine/soft drinks during the interval. To reserve seats call 0533 877 8911. This sounds like a nice event.
8^th December – Saturday	Children’s Christmas Fun Day at The Black Olive Café in Incesu from 10am to 2.30pm. 30TL to include lunch snacks and drinks. Fun and games and Christmas handicrafts. For more information call Vicki on 0533 8355133

8^th December – Saturdayaa NCCCT	NCCCT will be holding their Christmas Bazaar at the Pia Bella Hotel, Girne, starting at 11am. There will be lots of Christmassy items to choose from so make a note in your diary for an event not to be missed.
8th December – Saturday	British Residents’ Society will be holding their annual mince pies and mulled wine get-together at St Andrew’s Church Hall at 11am. Sue & Carole will be there as well with tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). Another nice event to go to.
9th December – Sunday	Bella View Hotel in Bellapais will having a Christmas sing-along starting at 8pm in aid of Tulips and Carole and Sue will also be there with tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle. 12^th December – Wednesday	The Olive Press – Christmas Party. 7.30 with a carol concert starting at around 8pm followed by a buffet and then lots of entertainment. Entry is free but please confirm if you are going to help plan the buffet. Tel: Martin Appleton on 0533 880 1196
14^th December – Friday	Grup Umut will be performing at the Bedesten in Lefkoşa in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). The concert starts at 8pm. Click link for programme Please note the entrance fee will now be 15TL
14^th December – Friday	Black Olive Café will be holding a Turbo Tarot event, a small taste of tarot reading for those who may like to know what 2013 has in store for them – 10TL. Dinner will be from 7pm at 15TL.

15^th December – Saturday	Best Seller Bookshop, Karakum, between 1pm and 4pm, will be holding a book-signing by Heidi Trautmann of her new book “’Art and Creativity in North Cyprus – Volume I”.
15^th December – Saturday at 3pmaaand 16^th December – Sunday at 10am	Lapta Belediyesi will be holding a 2-day chess tournament at the Lapida Hotel, Lapta. Registration fee 10TL, closing date to take part Thursday 13^th December. 16^th December – Sunday	The Bikers Club will be doing their last tour for 2012 from 10.30am to 4pm. The Route will be Gonyeli Circle to Lemar Guzelyurt to Lefke where there will be lunch at Mardin Restaurant for 30TL.
16th December – Sunday	Doğankoy Church will be holding a pre-Christmas coffee morning from 11am to 2pm. This is a lovely venue so why not go along and meet the locals and enjoy this wonderful piece of heritage.
17^th December – Monday	Due to the closeness of Christmas and the many other events taking place the NCCCT Bingo Night at the Ravine has now been CANCELLED.Check the Events Calendar for the next Bingo Night which will now be held in the New Year.
19^th December – Wednesday	JK’s Lapta – Christmas Carol singing starting at 7pm. There will be music by Big T, mince pies & mulled wine. Fancy dress for the kids. 23rd December – Sunday	The Lapta Municipality will be holding a Darts Tournament at Olive Paradise Village, Sht. Ibrahim Nidai Caddesi, Lapta, commencing 2pm. The entrance fee is 10YL and bookings should be made with Berke Ertopaloğlu on 0533 834 9878.There will be prizes of 1st – 500TL, 2nd 300TL, 3rd – 200TL and each of the 3 winners will also have 1 night’s stay for 2 people with breakfast at the Olive Paradise Village.
31^st December – Monday	The Olive Press will be having a New Year’s Eve Night Party. Retro fun and games is the theme for the evening – Mr & Mrs, Play Your Cards Right, Beetle Drive and Shove Halfpenny.
