News from the supporters of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips)
Carole King and Sue Tilt are certainly very busy with their fundraising for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) and they have given us results of their recent activities and news of the forthcoming fundraising events when they will be hoping people will give them as much support as possible, especially during the forthcoming festive season.
Carole and Sue were selling raffle tickets at Supreme Supermarket in Çatalköy on Friday and they sold 565TL worth of tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle. Thank you to Supreme.
Carole, Sue and Linda Stirling were selling tickets at Haci Ali on Saturday evening 1st December, and sold 720TL worth of tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle. They have asked for a big thank you to Haci Ali for allowing them to be there and do so well.
Laura Kennedy, Lesley Roper and Gill Moon had a Tulips stall at Soyz Bar in Çatalköy on Sunday 2nd December, selling Books, DVDs, Toys etc and they raised a great 150TL.
All in all a very successful weekend and thanks to everyone who put time and effort in to help Sue and Carole.
It looks as if Carole and Sue are going to be very busy again this week and they have provided information of their forthcoming activities for their very worthy cause.
Carole King, Ann Reeves and Linda Stirling will be selling Raffle Tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle at The Fez in Çatalköy on Friday evening, 7th December – where Barry Snakes is performing. It looks like it is already very booked up – so get in early to avoid disappointment.
Sue and Carole have been invited by the British Residents’ Society to sell the Golden Heart Raffle tickets at their Mince Pie and Mulled Wine get-together on Saturday 8th December at 11am in St Andrew’s Church Hall.
Sue will be selling Golden Heart Raffle tickets at Bella View Hotel, Bellapais on Sunday evening 9th December, where there is a Christmas Sing-along with all monies going to Tulips, so join “Starlite” for an evening of Yuletide entertainment’ at the Bella View Hotel, Bellapais starting at 8pm.
The Starlite group consists of Ian Chennelle, Jan Parkinson, Dawn Buyukertas and Anthony McCartney.
25TL per ticket and reservations are required as there is a Christmas nibble plate per person and the hotel need to know in advance how many to make.
Tickets are available at the hotel reception of the Bella View, Best Seller Bookstore in Karakum, Dawn at Chateau Lambousa on Saturday, and the Black Olive (Vicki) in Alsancak.
