The wonderful Karpaz village of Büyükkonuk holds two Eco Sundays – one in May and one in October. This is a short video to give the flavour of the day.
This was the first time that I had attended one of the village’s Eco Days in five years and I was most impressed by the range of displays, the number of stalls and the thousands of visitors as well as the quality of the organisation. There really was something for everyone, from young children to elderly people. Even though there was an exciting ‘buzz of excitement’ in the air, it being North Cyprus there was no hint of any problems between the many visitors in the small village that day.
The event really put the Karpaz ‘on the map’.
