Ho, Ho, Ho, Father Christmas has arrived early.

Christmas is coming and the seasonal events are starting, so it was nice to receive some pictures and a message about the early coming of Santa to Alsancak and we are sharing this with our readers.

“Hi Chris

Just some info re how the launch went etc.

Bestseller Bookstore in Alsancak transformed into The Christmas Shop last week and marked the transformation with an official launch opening from 4.15pm to 6.30pm on Monday 12th November.

About 50 people visited the store to be greeted by Santa Claus, who listened to those Christmas lists and gave out sweets to children, whilst the adults were served with a complimentary Mulled Wine from The Black Olive Cafe. As well as browsing the selection of Christmas essentials from trees, crackers, napkins etc and perusing the gifts (books, dressing gowns and all in ones), customers took advantage of the promotional 10% discount offered at the launch on all Christmas Cards.

The Christmas Shop is now open:

Monday 9.30 – 6.30pm and Tues to Sat 10am to 4pm

We have a range of individual Christmas cards, boxed Christmas cards, Christmas trees/lights/decorations, 2013 diaries and calendars, children’s annuals, selection boxes and chocolate advent calendars as well as a wide variety of gift bags and tags and wrapping paper, crackers and gifts. As well as usual book selection, with a new delivery of books expected within the next 2 weeks in time for Christmas.

Michelle Gray (Bestseller/Christmas Shop Manager)”

So there we have the good news, there are plenty of seasonal bits and bobs plus some great books waiting to make this Christmas a very special one for you.
