The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch are delighted to announce that the Poppy Ball was a huge success with 180 people attending the function at the Cratos Premium Hotel on 6th November. The final profit made on the night for the 2012 Poppy Appeal was 12,350.55TL ( £4,333.50) a colossal figure helped immensely by the brilliant auctioneer Karl Rugg who managed to make a profit of 4,033TL once everybody has paid their pledges.

KAR have extended their thanks to Gordon Kent and the Chateau Lambousa crew for the Bonfire and Firework Spectacular on 3rd November.  The evening was a great success and 2,224TL was raised for KAR’s funds.  Well done to all who helped to make this such a magical event.

The Black Olive Café would like to thank all of the 45 people who came to give blood on the 10th November.  Blood donors are vital in North Cyprus so if you are able to give please always try to attend the sessions.

The NCCCT coffee morning at the Deniz Kizi Hotel was very successful with around 100 people attending and a grand total of 2,047TL was raised for the charity.   The next event will be the Christmas Bazaar on 8th December at the Pia Bella Hotel at 11am.

Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services raised 350TL at their monthly Afternoon Tea Talk at The Mountain View Hotel where Major Brian Thomas BEM was the speaker and gave a talk about Captain of the Guard at Windsor Castle.    There will not be a Tea Talk in December and the date for the next one in 2013 will be published as soon as it is known together with the speaker for that event.
