2013    Golden Hearts Raffle in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips)  This year’s Golden Hearts Raffle was launched on the 1st October 2012 and will be drawn in the second week of January 2013. The top prize is worth over 1,000TL and the second prize over 900TL. Tickets are 5TL each and can be purchased from the following outlets:-

Best Sellers Book Store – Karakum and Alsancak,  Ozankoy Book Shop,   St Andrews Church Hall, Girne c/o John Dyer, Sandy & Yusuf – Chateau Lambousa Market on Saturday and The Lodge Market on a Sunday, Steve the Book – Chateau Lambousa Market on Saturday

Every Monday and Wednesday “Friends Line Dancers – The Punjab, Lapta. Beginners  Level on Wednesdays.   Times  10:00 am – 12:00 noon For more information   Tel:   0533 8215185 / 0542 8820366  
Every 1st and 3rd Monday in the month

From 7pm to 9pm at Riviera Bungalows, Karaoglanoglu, CESV (Civil Emergency Service Volunteers)  will be holding First Aid Training classes open to adults (14+).  Refreshments will be available at 5TL  If you want to learn some life-saving skills or brush up on previous skills then go along and join in a friendly informal group.  For further information call Steve Collard on 0548 845 5927

17th November – Saturday  10am to 2.30pm.  The Black Olive Café, Incesu will be holding a children’s fun day.  30TL to include lunch snacks, juice and fun and games.  Book a table by contacting Vicki on 0533 8355133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
18th November – Sunday  Sue and Carole will have a Tulips stall at Soyz Bar in Çatalkőy with lots of good things including electrical items, kitchenware, linens, household goods, clothes, shoes, bags etc.  There looks like a huge amount of items to choose from.
18th November – Sunday  Lapta Belediyesi have organized their 2nd Cycle Tour and this time it will be starting in Çamlibel, to Tepebaşi and finishing in Koruçam.  The meeting point will be at Akcan Cycle Shop in Alsancak at 09.00 and at 09.30 there will be free transport for the cyclists and their bikes to Çamlibel for the start of the cycle tour. 

Bicycles can be rented from Akcan Cycle Shop at 15TL each.

After the cycle tour there will be a meal at Yorgo Restaurant in Koruçam at 30TL per person.  Please book before 16th November for the tour and/or meal.  See Cycle Tour for details. 

Children under the age of 15 years must be accompanied by an adult.

18th November – Sunday  2pm Kick-off.  Rugby Match in Alsancak between The Pumas and Unique Nomads.  7TL Entrance fee.
19th November – Monday

NCCCT

 NCCCT Bingo at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm with the usual Mini Mars Bars for the lucky winners.  As the rollover jackpot was won at the last bingo night in October there will now be a new jackpot starting at 900TL so well worth going along to chance your luck.    
19th November – Monday  CESV will be at Sinya Restaurant in Tatlisu where they will be starting first aid evenings from 7pm to 9pm.  All adults are welcome so why not go along and learn some life saving skills in a friendly informal group.

23rd November – Friday  7pm – The Black Olive Café in Incesu will be holding a Fun Quiz and the theme will be “America”.  15TL to include supper.  Teams must be pre-booked by contacting Vicki 0533 8355133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
26th November – Monday  Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch –  1st Annual General Meeting.

In the Dining Room of the Deniz Kizi Hotel, Alsancak.  Registration starts at 7.30pm, Meeting at 8pm.  Members only, who must have a valid membership card in order to attend and vote.  Notification of Attendance forms must be returned to the Secretary by email at info@rblkyrenia.com or to the RBL stall at Lambousa Market, by midnight on Sunday 18th November 2012

28th November – Wednesday  The Black Olive Café in Incesu are hoping to hold a cake decorating class so if you are interested  please contact Vicki on 0533 8355133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com   More information to follow.
28th November – Wednesday  From 5.30pm onwards, The Olive Press will be having their first wine tasting evening.  This will be a chance to sample some lovely samples supplied by Cape Wines.
30th November – Friday  Kyrenia Chamber Choir will be holding their annual Christmas Concert in the Crypt at Bellapais Abbey at 8pm.  Admission will be by donation of 25TL in return for a programme.  All proceeds will be donated to the SOS Children’s Village Kindergarten.
30th November – Friday  Ladies Night at The Black Olive Café, Incesu.  The theme will be a Fashion Show.  Dinner will be 15TL served between 7pm and 8pm followed by the fashion show.  If you have any ideas for future themes please let Vicki know by calling 0533 8355133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com

1st December – Saturday  Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) will be holding their Christmas Bazaar at the Teachers Hotel, Girne, commencing at 11am.   There will be a wide range of Christmassy items plus Tombola and a Grand Draw.  Hot mince pies and mulled wine will be available and there will also be a visit from Santa.  Click  KAR

5th and 6th December Wednesday & Thursday  Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their seasonal “sing-alongs” at the Mountain View Hotel starting at 7.30pm.  The price is 25TL which will include a plate of seasonal nibbles.  This is always a popular event so book early to avoid disappointment.
6th/7th/8th December Thursday/ Friday/Saturday  The Kyrenia Amateur Dramatic Society (KADS) will be performing 2 plays “Costa del Packet” and “World Premiere” at the Kyrenia Municipality Cultural Centre (near the Police Station and Wednesday Market site).  The performance will commence at 8pm and all profits will be donated to Kyrenia Animal Rescue and the SOS Children’s Village.   Click KADS

 NCCCT will be holding their Christmas Bazaar at the Pia Bella Hotel, Girne, starting at 11am.  There will be lots of Christmassy items to choose from so make a note in your diary for an event not to be missed.  
12th December – Wednesday  The Olive Press – Christmas Party.  7.30 with a carol concert starting at around 8pm followed by a buffet and then lots of entertainment.  Entry is free but please confirm if you are going to help plan the buffet.  Tel:  Martin Appleton on 0533 880 1196
14th December – Friday  Grup Umut will be performing at the Bedesten in Lefkoşa in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).  The concert starts at 8pm.  10TL entrance.  Click link  Programme
14th December – Friday  Black Olive Café will be holding a Turbo Tarot event, a small taste of tarot reading for those who may like to know what 2013 has in store for them – 10TL.  Dinner will be from 7pm at 15TL.
15th December – Saturday  Children’s Christmas Party at The Black Olive Café in Incesu with a visit from Father Christmas.  5TL entry includes snack and juice.  Lots of fun.  For more information call Vicki on 0533 8355133

21st December – Friday  Christmas Fun Quiz at The Black Olive Café in Incesu starting at 7pm.  Dinner and dessert will be 20TL.  Teams must be pre-booked.  Call Vicki on 0533 8355133
