CINF – Winter Ball

The Children in Need Foundation Winter Ball is fast approaching so this is a reminder if you have not yet purchased tickets for what is going to be an excellent evening.

The Winter Ball is on Friday 16th November at the Cratos Premium Hotel, Çatalkoy and will start at 7pm with welcome cocktails.  The dress code is black tie or dark lounge suits for men and long or cocktail dresses for the ladies.   With such a fine venue and everyone in their finery this is definitely going to be a very splendid event.

Tickets are 140TL (£50) each and include a 3-course set meal with all local drinks plus imported key spirits – Gin, Vodka, Scotch etc.   Tickets are available from Supaclean in Girne and the DVD shop in Çatalkoy or by contacting Laurence on :-

floydlaurence@googlemail.com  (Tel: 0533 879 6802)

or Mally Torris on mallytorris@yahoo.co.uk  (Tel: 0533 853 9499).

One of the main events of the evening will be the award-winning Manhattans who will be providing two 45-minute performances of Soul and Motown music.   You can see a video of the Manhattans on their website www.themanhattans.co.uk  to get a feel of their entertainment for the evening at The Cratos.

There has been some interest in coach transport from the Karşiyaka, Lapta and Alsancak areas to The Cratos and if there are sufficient numbers to make this viable every effort will be made to arrange this.  Please contact Laurence if you are interested in coach transport.

So, the date is getting closer to this fabulous evening’s entertainment and we must not forget the reason for this event – The Children in Need Foundation – who work tirelessly to help the children of the TRNC to bring out the best of their many talents and generally make life better for them in whatever way they can.
