There seems to be many events going on at the moment and some are celebrating Halloween and the following has appeared on the internet in a number of information locations so it was decided to share it with our readers and those locally that may like to attend this very special event and the cause it is supporting.

“Though it is celebrated on the 31st October overseas, Bellapais Abbey will host A HALLOWEEN HAPPENING on Saturday Oct 27th 2012, the last day of Kurban Bayram to benefit the Lefkosa Çocuk Yuvasi-Children’s Shelter. It’s a perfect way to celebrate with this costumed event and help those in need right here at home.

International Opera Star, Grammy List Nominee and the Cyprus Turksoy Opera Days rep for 2012 Demet George Mustafaoglu with Maestro Rauf Kasimov will present MUSIC FROM AROUND THE WORLD in a costumed and staged concert for all the family.

Guests are asked to come in costume with a contest for the best ones beginning at 7pm and 50 prizes for all ages; concert 8 pm and free refreshments. Prizes range from dinners, spa visits, hotel stays, gas, and groceries. Music of the night will include Broadway, Disney, Pop and Ethnic-a meze table of sound for everyone.

There will be visits from the Phantom, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin is expected to drop in. Come and share in the fun. Tickets at Chicago Hair Club, Deniz Plazas, Dome Hotel, Kybele Restaurant and Bellapais Abbey entrance. 25 TL general admission and 30 TL for stage seating. 1. Thank you Lorena for your question, we have checked and found our source of information was wrong and we have corrected our article.

The event is on Saturday 27th October with the fancy dress competition starting at 7.00pm and the concert at 8.00pm. Unlike newspapers, we can make corrections as soon as we have the correct information.
