SUSPICIOUS FIRE DESTROYS POTATOES

Unsal Ozbilenler, a Turkish Cypriot who has been exporting potatoes officially from North to South Cyprus and rented storage in the South to store the potatoes, has had more than 300 tons of his potatoes destroyed in a suspicious fire on Monday.

It was noted that Greek Cypriot Administration is trying to find out if the fire is sabotage, because Greek Cypriot potato producers were on strike for two weeks to protest at the export from the North and this makes the fire more suspicious.
