HUNGARIAN AUTHORITY REPLIED ‘TRNC IS A FREE COUNTRY’ TO GREEK AND GREEK CYPRIOT DIPLOMATS WHO REACTED TO TRNC FLAG

The flag of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has been kept flying in Hungary at the II. World Turkish-Turan Congress that has been held in the Bugac town in Hungary with participation of the TRNC and other 20 countries. Andars Biro who is an authority at the Hungarian Turan Foundation has stated that he  replied to the Greek and Greek Cypriot diplomats who reacted to the TRNC flag  ‘TRNC is a free country’. 

 It has been recorded that the Budapest Embassies of Greece and Greek Cypriot Administration reacted to the raising of the TRNC flag at the II. World Turkish-Turan Congress in front of hundreds of people.

Andars Biro an anthropologist who is an authority at the Hungarian Turan Foundation has stated that both ambassadors have called him and reacted to the raising of the TRNC flag. Biro said that he replied to them that ‘TRNC is a free country ‘and added that they should have no reservations regarding raising the TRNC flag.

  1. Interesting. TRNC getting a form of recognition from an EU member. I hope the people objecting to the flag’s presence choked on the reply.

    1. Thank you for your comment Dean and the more people talk about the positive things regarding North Cyprus the more the world will be shown the other side of the coin. Perhaps then, they will have to acknowledge that major mistakes in judgment have been made and start to treat North Cyprus with respect and fairness.
