PRIME MINISTER KUCUK AND PARLIAMENTARY SPEAKER BOZER RECEIVED THE TAEKWONDO NATIONAL TEAM
The TRNC Taekwondo National team which won the GTF World Cup in Canada was received by Prime Minister Irsen Küçük and Parliamentary Speaker Hasan Bozer respectively.
Sporting embargoes enforced against the TRNC were highlighted during the visits.
During the visit, Prime Minister Irsen Küçük congratulated the Taekwondo team on their success abroad and presented them with a quarter Cumhuriyet Gold coin.
Touching upon the sporting embargoes
enforced against the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Prime Minister Irsen Küçük emphasized the importance of the team’s success despite the isolations and embargoes imposed against the country.
Noting that it is impossible to enforce sporting embargoes the Premier said the government will continue to increase its support in the field of sports.
Meanwhile Parliamentary Speaker Hasan Bozer also presented the Taekwondo team with a quarter Cumhuriyet Gold coin and congratulated them on their achievements.
Referring to the World Taekwondo Championship that will take place in the TNRC next year, Mr. Bozer expressed the hope that the team will show the same success during this competition.
