The History of Beer

This interesting, informative and humorous presentation can be seen at Stevie’s Bar at Kucukerenköy, commencing at 9pm on Thursday 16^th August 2012.

Sponsored by EFES Pilsner, the narrative lasts for about 45 minutes, tracing the history of the world’s favourite beverage from ancient China to the present day.

The Presentation will be made by Keith Lloyd, who has spent many years researching his subject; and confesses to having enjoyed every drop!

“This will be the fourth time the talk will have been delivered in the Kyrenia area” Keith reports. “On each occasion the audience has found the early history of beer and the more recently memorable images to be enormous fun; they seem to particularly like the styles (often a little saucy), adopted by brewers over the years, to persuade us to partake in their particular potion.”

Following the talk at Stevie’s Bar, there will be a brief explanation of the work of the Royal British Legion, and the Kyrenia Branch and  a  ‘rattling box’ collection in aid of  ex-service personnel and their dependents.
