NCCCT Coffee Morning

Around 100 people enjoyed delicious jam & cream scones and tasty eclairs at our coffee morning on Tuesday, 8th November 2016.  This month we were welcomed by Afet at the lovely Tervetuloa Hotel & Restaurant in Alsancak.

Thanks to NCCCT Committee member Barbara Harker, there were several lovely stalls to browse.  Items on sale included Christmas Hampers, pet treats, candles, soft toys, jewellery, cosmetics, paintings, and much more.

Another NCCCT Committee member, Wendy Anderson, was kept very busy on our own NCCCT stall, along with volunteers Elizabeth, Jacki and Allan.  They were selling items selected from the fabulous donations received at one of our secondhand shops in Girne,  The Hut.

As usual, Carole was on hand selling raffle tickets and Brenda and Neil were selling 50/50 tickets.

The event raised almost 3,000TL.

This sum was boosted by a generous donation of 145TL received from two of our regular stallholders, Lyn Cook and Denise Frazer.

Thanks to everyone who came along to make this coffee morning such a success.  Our thanks also extend to our star cake-makers – Liz Wood, Carole Shanley and Mehmet Salih Aktun – and of course to Afet and her very helpful waiters, Amir and Zakria.
