With the start of the cricket season in Northern Cyprus we received and are pleased to share a message from Danish Afridi the Chairman of the TRNC Cricket Association.
“To the readers of cyprusscene.com and their partner websites, 
I would like to let you know that we have been trying to promote KKTC Cricket here in Northern Cyprus for the past 2 years. Our new 2016 spring Creditwest cricket league is going to start on 13th of March 2016, at the Alsancak, Yasilyova sports football ground and there will be an Opening Ceremony by the chief guest, KKTC Grounds Manager, from Lefkosa.
This is the biggest KKTC Cricket League ever. 7 Cricket Clubs are participating, including the Gentlemen Of Girne, Cyprus Stars, Lefkosa Legends, Near East University, Middle East Technical University, Eastern Mediterranean University and Cyprus International University.
Do come along and meet the players and join in the fun at the start of our new North Cyprus cricket season.
