Tulips Results – Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Fundraising Success – In the Pink

By Margaret Sheard

As many people are aware, October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and th1ere were many events held in North Cyprus to help cancer charities.

Carole King and Sue Tilt had a much busier time than normal and were totally exhausted by the end of the month but all of their efforts raised a staggering 33,060.84TL so they were over the moon at the result.

This is what Carole and Sue have reported.

“We are delighted to report that during October, Breast Cancer Awareness month we have raised a staggering 33,060,84TL…….. 2Sue and I are totally blown away by this amount as we were expecting to raise something in the region of 10,000TL, so we trebled what we hoped to raise. What a brilliant effort by these 2 dedicated fundraisers.  Maybe it is time now for Carole and Sue to take a well earned rest before re-starting on their relentless task of raising funds for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).
